I am a surface pattern designer and printmaker from Broome, a remote town in the north-west of Australia. I am inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds me, where the Great Sandy Desert eventually meets the pindan cliffs, which in turn surrender to the endless stretches of white sandy beaches with turquoise waters lapping at its edge. The rich colours of this unique environment inspire new colour palettes and provide an effortless backdrop for creating artwork.
My artwork is usually created by hand by various methods, including watercolour, gouache, cyanotype and collagraph and lino print methods, and then re-worked digitally.
